Looking through the website Marken film I discovered the director Andy Mcleod who directed the Happy Noises Skoda advert. The advert is set in a Skoda factory and shows the factory in working conditions, the piece and concept gives the machinery characteristics and personality just from the uses of ‘noises’ and sounds. The machinery and is matched with relevant sound effects, that are in synchronization with the movements of the machinery. The sound effects are of human characteristics, laughing humming, chatting and human noises that reveal what people are thinking or state of mind such as pleasure, humor, fun, attention, focused, thinking. The advert works well and the attention to sound in the piece is fascinating.
